Formed in 1990 when vocalist TOMO brought the members together, MOTORVATIN’ quickly launched into a vibrant live scene centered around Tokyo. Despite their energetic performances and appearances at events across the country, the band underwent repeated member changes and, after only three intense years, went on an indefinite hiatus — effectively disbanding.

As time passed, life took its course. Original guitarist TEIICHI sadly passed away, and guitarist HARABOH battled a serious illness. Over 30 years after their formation, an unexpected offer to perform live came their way. Around that same time, by sheer coincidence, TOMO had sent TEIICHI’s beloved guitar for a full restoration. Feeling a sense of destiny, TOMO decided to step onto the stage once again, this time wielding TEIICHI’s iconic Warlock guitar as a guitar-vocalist.

In October 2023, MOTORVATIN’ made a powerful return to the stage after 33 years. Their raw, unapologetic rock’n’roll spirit remained untouched by time. Reigniting the energy of their original songs just as they were back then, the band found new momentum, viewing this reunion as the culmination of their individual musical journeys.

MOTORVATIN’ is officially back in action — not only performing live but also planning regular music releases in the days ahead.
